Basketball Sign-Up Form
If you are a head coach then please read and understand the section from
the Oliver Springs Youth Club By Laws and Constitution, as follows:

Article XII  Coaches

Section 1 Head Coach

  • A head coach from the previous year has the first option to accept or
    refuse his/her team.  Minimum age of head coach is eighteen.  (Head
    coaches still must get board approval to keep his/her team.).
  • Assistant coaches will be selected by the head coach, AND approved by
    the Board.
  • Shall have the authority to remove, suspend, or reprimand any member
    of the coaching staff.
  • Shall be responsible for the safety of all players.  If a situation arises,
    shall take authority and responsibility to take any and all action
    necessary to protect the health and welfare of all participants.
  • Shall be responsible for assigning a team parent, who is responsible
    for getting concession stand workers, gate keepers, clean up detail,
    and any other volunteer positions deemed necessary.
  • Shall know the rules, abide by them, and help keep parents and fans in
    harmony with the goals and objectives of the OSYC.  Shall be aware of
    the OSYC by-laws.
  • Shall work with officials and report problems to the Program Director,
    the Board, or League Officials.  Shall not hassle umpires/referees
    during games.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Basketball season should start in December.
